Wow. Our genome has a lot of garbage DNA in it.
I never even really realized it.
And the tulip has ten times more DNA than us!
So cool!!

Lovejoy: I know one of you is responsible for this. So repeat after me: If I withhold the truth, may I go straight to Hell where I will eat nought but burning hot coals and drink naught but burning hot cola -- [all the kids recite in unison] Ralph: [scared] ...where fiery demons will punch me in the back, Bart: [bored] ...where my soul will be chopped into confetti and be strewn upon a parade of murderers and single mothers, Milhouse: ...where my tongue will be torn out by ravenous birds. [a crow outside looks right at him an squawks] Bart did it! That Bart right there! Bart: [angry] Milhouse! Lovejoy: Milhouse, you did the right thing. Bart, come with me for punishment. [goes back for Milhouse] You too, snitchy.

"We all cling to something." I said
"-to the wrong things..." he said "and we start clinging too late. I will tell you something I really believe out of all the things there are to be believed." "All people are insane." He said. "They will do anything at any time, and God help anyone who looks for reasons."

Yeah, I wish that you had told me you had an appointment with your doctor at 4 am. 'Cause it's safe to assume You leapt out of my room through the window For some important obligation, and not 'cause you're weird. Yeah, I wish that you had told me your dad gets up at 4 am; You wanted to leave it be, out through the window.
Yeah, I wanted to leave, but I didn't want it to be me breaking up in your car on the way to my birthday.
Would you believe I'm back? They built your house on a cul-de-sac. They built my brain out of beans and my heart out of nothing.

Sometimes I worry about unconsciously repackaging ideas or phrases or something from my past. For example, I wrote this about 2 weeks ago:
I've progressively gotten more reminiscent of the good things in my past. By progressively, I mean that the things I reminisce about slowly become more and more recent.
Today I was sad and missed a moment I had last night. What happens when I miss something that just happened? is it even possible to be nostalgic about something that hasn't happened yet? What does reaching this point mean, if anything?
And this is from one of Klosterman's books I read last summer:
I find I am already reminiscent of what happened ten minutes ago....how is it even possible that I'm nostalgic about an event in the very recent past? Does this say something about how genuine I am to things I should *really* be nostalgic towards?
Sounds similar...but how original was mine? Yikes.

Okkervil river - our life is not a movie or maybe |
] |
This girl is like a trainwreck combined with a black hole. A singularity in the space/time continuum.
Where did she come from? You can barely fathom her motives or whims. It's better to just steer yourself in the opposite direction at top speed. As fast as you possibly can...I mean, once you hit the intense gravity, you're headed straight for the event horizon. And I just barely avoided it.
Of course, positive things come out of it; people learn to warn each other of her presence and general direction, and it's horrifying watching other people headed straight for it.
I've never been so glad to be rid of someone for what I hope is for good, but there's one more encounter on the horizon.
I've never made a more awful and appropriate metaphor, and I think I'm pretty happy with that
No fade-in, film begins on a kid in the big city, and no cut to a costly parade that's for him only.

Google has done it again!
Google SMS allows you to ask questions in a specific format via cell phone text messages (SMS) and get the answer almost-instantly.
How cool is that? It's free (minus the default text charge) too!
Example...texting "300" followed by your postal code to "466453" (Google) will send you all the showtimes for the movies 300 in hamilton.
Example 2: texting :" G Andrew LLoyd webber born?" will send you the first few web results from a google search...from which I got his birth date.
Example 3!: Sending :" Blue Jays" will send you the score of any current game, their last game, and the date of their next game.
Isn't that incredible? Check out the website. You can play around with questions on it. I've already played around a fair bit and my favourite one is driving directions.
